I had a bad case when I was a mere 6 years old. The doctor (who started out as a vet, went to Austria for medical studies) painted the spots with gentian violet. Cleared up, hair came back in extra curly and thick. Not too sure how it would work on cats because they might try licking it off and not sure how it would affect the cat if taken internally. Anyone know about that????
