I know exactly what you mean. My dad had a great, wonderful black cat named
Licorice (I named him that when I was 10), and he died of FeLV, back before
they knew what it was or how to treat it. Anyway, one summer day two years
ago, this lean and spunky black cat appears in the neighborhood. He just
walks right up to my dad like, "Hey! How's it going?" and my dad takes one
look at him, picks him up and says, "Well, hello, Magic." Magic belonged to
a neighbor who didn't really want him, and she gave him to my dad. He says
he thinks Lic is back and that it's magic. :) Magic has lots of Lic's traits
and funny tics, too. So, I guess we have what seems to be some proof, huh?
It's a nice thing to think about in times like these.
