Hi Jo and welcome to the list. It sounds like you are on the right track
with the treatments. Here's a web site with a TON of info on interferon.

I really do believe you should give kitties a break from interferon... the 7
day on 7 off is the "standard" protocol for cats... it's really been the
only tested protocol. You do need to give the cat's system a break so it
does not become "used" to the treatment, thus rendering it ineffective. That
will happen with continuous use.

You may want to add Pet Tinic to the regimen. I have not used it, but many
other's have and by all accounts it's a great product.

Keep us posted on your babies!

>Hi everyone,

>My name is Jo, I have two kitties with Felv. DiDi is 5 1/2 months old,

>He had tested negative at the age of 12 weeks and was fully vaccinated.

>DiDi was put on Clavamox for the diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. She

>she was sick! But she is still on the Clavamox and I dread taking her

>I have them both on Interferon, COQ10, and Hi-vite vitamins.

>I'm daily dosing with the Interferon even though I was told 7 on, 7 off.

>I've been researching continuous dosing and I think that may be the way

>1 week off. and that
>seems like a good protocol too.

>So thanks for listening, I'd really like to meet you all.
>Who are you and who are your kitties and what is their story if you have
>time?
>
>Also, I have two negatives, I don't want to leave them out.
>Sabrina, 4 1/2 years old taken from a feral mother that a friend trapped
>and gave a forever home to. She was 10 weeks old and pretty wild
>herself, but not anymore, she's my love bug.
>Fox, found by a friend on a Los Angeles freeway during rush hour of all
>places!
>He was about 6 months old, tame but starved, he's 3 years old now and he
>has some behavior problems, but we love him to pieces.
>Thanks again for listening.
