Yes, Peri was blocked.  Vet and I were treating him for UTI which helped, but he obstructed anyway.  He is now on a special acidifying cat food, both dry and canned.  Struvite crystals are alkaline so new food acidifies Peri's urine so, hopefully, he will not block again.  She said crystals caused from food and possibly chronic UTI.  Magnesium for Neura Wellness is 1% and ash is 6%.  See my other posts about canned versus dry.  My vet feels either or both is fine.

    Is Skeeter felv+?

    Thanks for the info.

       Brenda,
I must have missed the initial post about the blockage.  Is it a
urinary tract blockage?  Skeeter had this and he was on medication for
years then we switched him to a Science Diet CD (I think, it's
formulated for cats with this problem), I was told it is the magnesium
ash content in food that causes this, so look for foods that are very
low in magnesium and ash below 3.5 % The lower better.  Dry food
ingeneral is not good for kitties with this problem, will he eat wet
only?
