Re: Vaccinations in Felv+ Cats

Everyone has an opinion on this one about whether vaccines are really safe or not.   My personal opinion: killed vaccines are fine. I get my child and my dogs and cats vaccinated because I feel that it's important that they have this immunity for themselves and the community. I have been seeing a resurgence of distemper and some other diseases that can be protected against (with the understanding that nothing is 100%). I just give the least amount of vaccine as possible as infrequently as possible and make sure that they receive their vaccines in a leg and not shoulder or other inoperable place in the offchance that they do have a reaction to the vaccine. The new vaccines are supposed to be safer, as well.   So no unnecessary vaccines, like no FeLV vaccine.
