I wouldn't be that worried.  The titer test that they do is for corona viruses of which FIP is only one of the possibilities.  Almost all cats will test "positive" on a corona virus titer.  Keeping an eye on Tammy's eye and making sure everything else is OK is the main thing.  The only time a positive exact diagnosis of Feline Infectious Peritonitis is during the necropsy and of course, that's too late.

The Vet told me as well there isn't a test all they can really go on only after they have passed on. Only blood work with high Titers. He did mentioned that because he wasn't showing any signs that was good but it still bothers me that he had said this was one of the signs when their eyes do this. So I have to sit on pins and needles til the next blood draw....four weeks from now. I will certainly be a basket case since I have other personal kitties as well. (10)

I haven't really dealt with kitties with FIP,but a few years ago I new someone how took in a tom cat that had FIP she didn't know at first but after she had all her cats tested & they were fine.1 of her own were bit by the tom cat but her cat still was negative.I was told that alot of cats that are FeLV positive most have FIP,but I was told there is not a test for FIP like there is for FeLV.I'm not sure how true this is.I wish you all the best.Please keep us updated & if you find out more about it please let me know.Do you have a name for him?We will pray for use.
