Gloria,

Don't know much about FIP but we had a cat that had it. 2 of her 3 
kittens died. She survived along with one of her kittens. The person
who had her had some other fosters. One of them died from FIP. 
The strange thing is that the other 6 cats did not.

I do also know that one of the volunteers was over there and she 
was helping during this time. She ended up coming home and bring 
it home (I assume) since right after she was there a few of hers got 
FIP.

I believe it depends on the health of the cat and age. I see cats that 
are healthy and are over 2 seem to be a little safer. 

Looks to me it's like FELV, maybe there are some strands and 
different strengths depending on strands?
