Just thought I'd drop a line and let you know what's going on with the "feral" situation. We now have 5 adults and 2 kittens. There are 3 more adolescences and two more kittens that I know of. (We'll continue to trap after we get everyone we've seen just in case). What a relief that we didn't trap 3 kittens and have to leave the 3rd one alone tonight. We used poor momma as bait, with the two traps we have up against her carrier, then covered the whole thing with a sheet. The kittens are unlike any feral kittens I've ever encountered. Scared, but no hissing or spitting. They were frozen with fear, but they let me pet them without even putting their ears back. According to the homeless man, they've never been touched before. I'm guessing that because the colony is so remote, they've only encountered the one kind human and haven't learned that humans are dangerous.
Say a prayer we get the other two babies tomorrow!
Nina
