I'm just sick about it, but the "feral" kittens have been taken out of
my care. I'd had the kittens for all of one night, when Jill, (the girl
who so desperately needed my help when no one else would respond),
started telling me how to tame them. She was getting advise over the
phone from someone else. She was telling me they had to be separated
etc., I was telling her I was aware of the protocol for taming ferals,
but these kittens were not acting the same as regular ferals and that I
had to follow my on instincts and intuition about how best to tame
them. I really think it would have been a matter of 3 days before I had
them purring in my lap! She wouldn't relent and told me it wasn't her
decision, the person giving her advise might be able to help place the
cats and she didn't want to cross her. I explained to her that I
couldn't take responsibility (not to mention the emotional attachment,
time consumption, etc.) without control. That's a perfect recipe for
mega stress! I told her I'm always ready to listen to advise, but if I
was going to tame the kittens, she'd have to trust me enough to do it my
way. Well, she stunned me by saying she'd be right over to pick them
up. I know kittens are more desirable to rescue groups because they can
adopt them quicker and maybe the adoption fees were being considered. I
hate to think this was the motivation. I know I should be relieved, God
knows I have enough on my plate, but I can't stop thinking of their
little innocent faces. I guess I'll never know if the other two kittens
and the rest of the colony were trapped. I just don't understand humans
sometimes.

thats great to hear...they will be easy..just keep working with
them..they should be able to be tamed quickly, and that way it may be
easier to find them homes quicker..or give you more rescue options for
them....
