Oh, Nina---I feel for you. You put your heart and effort and energy and time and God knows what else into the kittens/cats. The 'someone else' giving directions should have spoken directly to you and surely would have seen sense. (I hope to God your suspicions about the fees are unfounded too.) I told her I'm always ready to listen to advise, but if I was going to tame the kittens, she'd have to trust me enough to do it my way. Well, she stunned me by saying she'd be right over to pick them up. I know kittens are more desirable to rescue groups because they can adopt them quicker and maybe the adoption fees were being considered. I hate to think this was the motivation. I know I should be relieved, God knows I have enough on my plate, but I can't stop thinking of their little innocent faces. I guess I'll never know if the other two kittens and the rest of the colony were trapped. I just don't understand humans sometimes.
