You've gotten great advice so far -- definitely a second opinion is in
order.
Agreed -- could be that Luci wasn't used to having regular feedings,
but she should be tested for other abnormalities. And it's true that
she will drink less if she's eating wet food.
Nutrition is key. Supplements mentioned are good ones. Look for
a vet who will give interferon.
If a full blood work up was NOT done, find a new (cat specialist) and have
it done. Larger hospitals are more likely to have the ability to acquire
interferon.
And of course -- lots and lots of love! Just love her and love
her! Keep her stress level as low as possible. That will help her
too. Find her routine and stick to it. Change is stressful for cats,
and since she was stray, she could be stressed out.
