Oh, Barbara. It is entirely understandable to want some sort of tangible
connection to Jelly Roll. Sometimes it astounds me, the lack of compassion some
people feel for the pain and suffering of others. I had a boyfriend years ago
who took his grandmother to the vet to have her old, sick dog humanely
euthanized. As if it wasn't tough enough bringing the poor old guy in the first
place, they made them sit and wait for over an hour. The old woman was
devastated. Having worked reception for an animal hospital in Boston, it really
is disturbing to me how some places don't see their clients as people.
I think it's reasonable to switch vets and to chew them out over this, I
do. Mistakes happen, but, let's be honest, there is a certain amount of
sensitivity required when you are dealing with this sort of situation and that
was clearly lacking.
Feel free to cry to us here.
