If he is going under tomorrow anyway for the ultra sound then I
would wait, and getting as much food into him as possible before
midnight is also good, and AD is much better than baby food. Michelle,
I'm not trying to be mean or hurt your feelings, I'm sincerely just
worried about Simon and knowing what I know is frustrating. For sure
tomorrow though I would insist on the feeding tube if he is yellow and
jaundiced. I'll be honest with you some vets won't suggest it because
thy don't know how to do it or have never done it. My vet had only done
it a couple of times before Buddie and used her vets manual while doing
it. The main thing is to make sure the vet Xrays the tube location, it
should stop between the 7 and 8 rib before it reaches the stomach, if it
goes into the stomach the cat will be constantly nauseated and throw up
so location is very important. Here is a good website that explains how
it is done:

Just make sure they don't do a nasogastric tube, it is very
uncomfortable for the cat and is only good for a few days use, it goes
through the nostril so you can imagind how uncomfortable it is.

I will be saying prayers for Simon to be OK and everything to come out
good. Please forgive me if I came on too strong I just couldn't live
with myself if I didn't get across how important a cat not eating is,
most people including myself a few years ago have no clue how quickly a
cat not eating can become critical.
