Ong, we're all under a lot of stress . You do seem very knowledgeable and
we all appreciate any information you or others may have. Your tone is
sometimes a little rough but I guess we're not here to do personality
transplants! My experiences with FELV is limited and I do appreciate so
much all the help & support I've gotten on this list. Every day I read
about someone else on the list who lost one of the little guys or who is
trying to make serious medical decisions in a vacumn, and I realize that my
own situation is not so unique and that I'm not the only one going thru
this.

The medical info you gave us, Ong, is only half the battle. Certainly, it
helps me in understanding the disease and in talking to vet. I also needed
a lot of help in the day-to-day sort of things that medical references &
vets can't give you. Example, I panicked one weekend as there was some
drops of blood on the litter box. I envisioned that this was some somber
sign of a failing cat--I posted, and folks here calmed me down with some
plain old common sense & experiences (he was just constipated!) Anyway, we
are all different and maybe we strike you as silly, we all are who we are.

I would make one suggestion Ong--and take it as only that. When I joined
the list earlier this year, I sort of described a little about my
circumstances, (where I lived, how many cats, how many pos?, how many negs?,
etc). Nothing real detailed but I thought it important for folks to
understand what my situation was & to understand a little about me before I
could ask for help. Just a thought--not even a request....

And to all members, I hope Ong remains on the list as any info is so
valuable. Maybe as some time goes on, he too will have one of those silly
panicky moments and he too can see how helpful everyone tries to be and how
enourmously valuable that is!

This list is pretty solid and stable, in my opinion. No, I'd hate to see
him leave - he's just a change from what we've been, and perhaps not used
to being talked back to? A bit arrogant perhaps - actually I can't find
the right words, and I'm heading out to do some chores for the day, so -
Whew. Changing litter boxes is easier. Back to cats.
