I have a BSN in nursing and a public health certificate. I was a case manager for patients with congestive heart failure and COPD. I also had a long career in nursing. I have taken care of patients with leprosy, legionnaire’s disease and I was on the AIDs team in home health. This virus looks more like the so called Spanish Flu. It was called Spanish Flu because Spain was one of the few countries that did not censor stories about the outbreak.
I think we do not know when this pandemic will end and it will have rates that rise and fall. We do not know how this virus will evolve. I think we may well have this virus causing problems for the rest of this year, but who knows.
