Roine Gustafsson <[email protected]> added the comment:

You are quoting from the Chroma license. As I've already quoted above, the
Chroma
license DOES NOT COVER libavcodec. libavcodec is distributed under the terms of
LGPL, clearly specified in the bundled COPYING license text in the libavcodec
framework.

LGPL section 4:
"If distribution of object code is made by offering access to copy from a
designated
place, then offering equivalent access to copy the source code from the same
place
satisfies the requirement to distribute the source code, even though third
parties
are not compelled to copy the source along with the object code."

We provide both the binaries and the source code on the same website. There is
a
DIRECT LINK to the source code in the help system where libavcodec is credited.
Anyone who uses Chroma and want sources to libavcodec will have no problem
finding
it.
The source code download package comes complete with project files for
one-click
compilation of the framework using XCode, producing a drop in replacement for
the
framework bundled with Chroma.

You don't seem to realize you're trying to peg an FFmpeg license violation on
one of
the FFmpeg developers. Thanks for watching out for my copyright, but please
attack
someone who is actually guilty.

You could have received all this info if you had just sent us an email asking
about
it. Not even attempting to contact us about this and instead flog us on the
Shame
list is very bad form.
