Mr Bultje,

FYI, AFAICR we asked several times since May 2009 to FFMpeg team to check if
everything was OK with our distribution. We get a clear answer (describing
*which* GPL code we missed) only 13 October 2009, and *yes*, I missed it and I
am fully responsible for that. However, 2 days after having this information, we
react. I assume in less than 1 week you'll have an updated version that *may*
definitively fix this GPL issue, and that is something you or anyone else
*should* check again.

In the meantime, if you want you can review the up to date source code we use
at :

http://svn.vso-software.fr (this is a WEB interface)

or use a svn client with server address set at

https://svn.vso-software.fr

we have there a FFMpeg version stripped of any file containing a GPL header.
This should guarantee that no GPL code will be compiled/integrated by mistake in
the DLL ? ! Let us know if we forgot something there.

The soonest our mistakes are described, the fastest we can fix them and solve
this GPL violation issue.

For the modification of the about box, we will implement the requested changes
in the V4 version of ConvertX, to be released within a few weeks. This is a pure
technical concern that make it complex for us to implement in the current
version only for its few days left of existence. Let me know if this is
acceptable.
