There's some testing capability in the LSB test suites, whether that's of interest in an outside context I'm not sure. You could try: bzr checkout http://bzr.linuxfoundation.org/lsb/devel/runtime-test/ and look in modules/lsb-fhs there's an online code browser to avoid checking out the branch, but that seems to be disabled/broken as I write this.
