I've had trouble with turquoise not setting. I called Pro Chem and the
chemist suggested I wasn't getting the water hot enough and keeping the heat
high enough for a long enough time. I now dye at 180+ degrees and keep the
heat there for at least an hour. Turn off the heat and let
the fiber/dye mix cool down on its own. That has usually exhausted the dye
bath. When I was in hot soapy water to clear excess dye, not much comes out.
