>> PLEASE...voice your thoughts and
concerns to the editor of Spin-Off....<<
YES! And remember -- there is NO WAY on this earth to please everybody!!! No
matter what the editors of Spin-Off and Handwoven do, they cannot cover
every single angle of their respective subjects in every issue. Not even in
10 or 20 issues even. So goodness -- if you don't like something or you
aren't interested in the subject, pass it over and go on to the next
article. (Just don't forget to go back and re-read that issue later. It may
have more relevance to you as you gain skills or understanding or change
your interests.) And please submit articles on the subjects you're
interested in most. If you submitted already and didn't get it published
yet, submit some more. Who knows what might have happened to the first one:
it could just be that they're waiting for the correctly themed issue, or it
could have gone astray in the changeover of editors. You never know. Give
the editors the benefit of your patience and your trust. Believe me -- they
are doing their best! They have offered you ways to express your opinions
and feelings. Make those count and be constructive and specific and clear.
Just b...ching won't get you very far...
And "one person's trash is another person's treasure"!
Hugs,
Louisa (who has had several articles published in Spin-Off, SS&D, and the
late/great Weavers, among others -- and who edits a 16-page guild newsletter
herself)
