Weavers` wearables, by Virginia West, own publishing 1986.
there is also a more simpler done [ =smaller ] shown
in page 103 of" Weaving without a loom, by Sarita Rainey, Davis Pub,
1966.
you might also consider looking up a booklet called "Simple weaving by
Grete Kroncke, Van Nostrand , 1973. She has an interesting idea of a
Poncho woven on a FRAME [=Strecher Loom] not exactly what you asked for
but an interesting idea,,,
