I can't take it anymore! Gotta hear about SOMETHING fiberish! :)

Finished the moebius and find it to be a great shawl, not so great as a
head wrap. For one thing, can't figure out how :) For another, it's
too bulky. Used DK weight yarn in garter stitch, and it's about 20
inches wide. But with it draped around the shoulders like a shawl, the
twist makes it shape beautifully in front without or without a shawl
collar effect, and holds it in place to boot. Thinking about reshaping
it to be less bulky in front while longer in back.....

And finished the dickey for my dh, based on a Red Cross pattern, very
similar to some on my website but not the same. Two garter stitch
sections, woven at the shoulders (first successful experience of weaving
garter stitch) and with a ribbed neck picked up and worked for 3
inches. I thought the neck, on 96 sts, was a little wide, but my dh
likes it that way.

Working on a sample swatch for socks for dh. Spun some yarn--Perendale
and mohair mostly--dark gray with touches of color from dyed mohair,
nothing noticeable to a conservative guy, but makes for less boring
knitting :) It's a sport weight that I think I'll knit on size 2
needles. Today's a good day for starting such a project. Yesterday
(above the 45th parallel you understand, in NW lower Michigan) it broke
60 degrees F! Today it's in the low 40s :) I keep wondering when
winter will start. The Fed-Ex guy who delivered something yesterday
said it was because we have the snowplow on our truck. You know, I
think he may be right <g>

Working on my daughter's woven handspun coat. She chose Shetland from
two of our sheep, mother and son, pale silver gray, primitive style
wool. After dark gray socks and pale gray coat, I believe I'm going to
break out in color all over shortly :)

Do please wake up, oh fiber folk, I can't take the silence! <g>
