I am so sorry for you, but..... I would never, ever. wash wool in the washing machine. It is soaking and rinsing all by hand in a bucket of water. I wash wool very carefully with salted water or shampoo if it very dirty and rinse until the water is clear at the same temperature, adding vinegar at the last rinse and that is it. hugs Franna
