Before our house burned I had a pair of mittens kint by my Great-Aunt that were 20 stitches per inch. What always amazed me was the stitches were so perfect and even. Whenever I thought I was getting good I would go and fondle them. She died in 1956 knitting and alert right up to the last. Annemarie
