Before our house burned I had a pair of mittens kint by my Great-Aunt that
were 20 stitches per inch.  What always amazed me was the stitches were so
perfect and even.  Whenever I thought I was getting good I would go and
fondle them.  She died in 1956 knitting and alert right up to the last.
