Oh yeah! I heard all sorts of things about what caused it. I knew about warming the combs before combing, and knew about setting the fiber next to a fireplace. Or, as in CA, just setting it out in the sun to warm. The lanolin pretty much disappears. But other spinners had never heard of it, and just _freaked_.
