Hi - I'm new to the list and interested in the various perspectives to be found here. Currently I'm wrestling with several boxes of acrylic fibers I was given recently. I'm a weaver and would like to use many of these beautiful yarns but my previous experience has been only with cotton, wool and rayon chenille - all of which I know how to wet-finish to get the best finished product.
Does anyone have experience with wet-finishing cloth weaved of acrylic? I have 2/24 acrylic, So-Lara 2/24 Nylon, and Space Loop Acrylic Polyester. I appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.
