It's been a very strange, dull, almost snow-less (well, comparatively)
winter here. We broke 50 twice last week--that's unheard of, so far as
I know. Normally we don't break 20 for all January, and rarely get to
30 in February.

So I've been going through back issues of magazines, looking for
inspiration.

An old Piecework had a brief article about traditional lace knitting in
Iceland. I was wondering if anyone has more info on this. It sounds
lovely, but the project illustrated not only didn't use Icelandic wool,
but there was no way to tell how authentic the style was.

I can make something up, but would rather at least know what I'm
deviating from! Anyone know something about this subject?

Holly
