Carla, I don't know about Lendrum, I have owned Louet S-10 for years, two of them, that never make noise. However, just bought an Ashford Traveller, put it all together, oiled just where it said and it spun quietly the first time I used it. But, the next time developed a very loud squeek and I couldn't tell where it was coming from. Took it to the dealer and she said: "Did you oil the hinge under the second treadle?" I told her the directions didn't say to oil there. She said, "Let's try it." So we did and haven't heard a noise since. Just a thought, if yours has a metal hinge under the treadle, you might try some oil on it. Probably in my case it had something to do with the heat and humidity here in west Michigan last month.
