Wow this is cool to see this described somewhere.  I was
not nuts then.  I did have a real condition!  You are
describing something that I fought for several years.  I
did not have the fingertip thing going on but it itched
like crazy, near drove me nuts and little blister like
things way under the skin.  Never on the back of my hands
but the palms and fingers, hmm seems I remember it going
down my wrist a bit too.  Been 5-6 years since I had it. 
Ran around with it about 3 years.  The Dr. treated it very
offhandedly.  A cortizone type cream.  Well one time I was
in to complain again about another red burning itching rash
on my thigh an the Dr. prescribe Lotrazone cream.  For
yeast infection.  Well in treating that I noticed my hands
clearing up and have not had the problem since.  So don't
give up and keep trying different solutions.  Natural is
best but most of the medications are made from the natural
items.  Maybe mine does not come back cause I still have to
use the cream now and then.  Overweight has its own
problems.
