I try to steer clear of the cortisone like treatments altho sometimes a small bit sure clears things up in a hurry. I do use natural ointments regularly and thus keep skin conditions under control. My current fav is Eureka Soaps calendula and comfrey ointments. They are very soothing and I think really basic. My teenage son uses them on his face too as they aren't perfumed and he thinks more manly!
