It sounds like ezcema. (Check with your doctor of course) Keep your hands
well-moisturized and that'll help. I use Avon's Moisture Therapy hand cream
several times a day when my hands are dry.
It can be triggered by stress, allergies, and contact with something that
irritated your skin. Or, pop up for no reason at all, sometimes, it seems. I
found that using a salve with birch leaves helps tremendously to curb the
itching. ( I made some with beeswax, olive oil and birch leaves.) You'll
also see cortisone cream recommended.
