I'm really in need of your help.

About one year ago I discovered to have a moth problem. I found them in some woolen cloth from our middleage-activity and washed/freezed all the things to get rid of them.
It seems that I've missed at least one beast.
Now I found the eggs in one of our tanned sheepskins which is not bare soft leather but with fleece on the outside. I got most of the eggs out with the vacuum cleaner, but most aren't all.

What should I do with the infected skin? Can I wash it? The vendor told me it could be washed, but with lots of salt in the water to have a soft leather after the washing. Is something like this possible?
It's a white skin (the leather) and a natural white fleece.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Ilona
