Washing and freezing do help, but for complete removal, Paral spray
will finish off the job - especially with the sheepskin.
You can spray the skin, put it in a sealed bag for a week or two,
and then, it you wish to wash it to remove any insecticide residue,
you can also just use soap on a brush to clean the wool side, rinse
with a garden hose with the skin hung over the line and not get the
leather more than just damp.

Also, throwing out any not very valuable items with moths is very
helpful.
