I just "discovered" a way to measure yardage. Try a fishing line counter. I got mine at a marine supply store for $11.49. If you do a Google search you can find a sporting goods store in your area that carries these neat little tools. It is a simple mechanical counter you hold in your hand. It could be mounted on some sort of base and clamped to a flat surface. It's really slick and not at all expensive. The counter goes up to 999 feet. Repeat as needed!
