Hmm. There's a very good chance that it's not lanolin. All processors scour the 
fiber, to remove the lanolin. Then they spray the fiber with some kind of oil 
based product. That enables the fiber to be more easily carded.

Spinning oil doesn't show its face, unless the fiber sits for a period of time. 
It's often mistaken for lanolin, because people aren't aware that the processor 
uses spinning oil, during the carding process.

I stopped sending my fiber to processors. Not one of them could assure me that 
they wouldn't use spinning oil, during the carding process.
