Since there seems to be a large group of weavers here, I thought I'd ask. I have a little boy who is coming up on his 6th birthday in a couple weeks. He is always wanting to do something with fibers, but is a bit clumsy with the spindle still. He loves to felt, but it is a lot of work for his little arms after while. I won't let him needle felt yet, but he is facinated with his 12 year old sister's work on this. He's tried knitting, but the best he can do so far is chain crochet. What about weaving? He's worked with a simple card loom I made and seemed to do really weel. So, I thought of getting him a simple loom to work with. Is this a good idea? What would you recommmend for a very beginner?
