I have to agree with Gwen S. There is nothing worse than getting into
something that you really enjoy and then not being able to go farther
because the tools are lacking. If he really likes it, you will be doing him
a favor. If not, you can sell it, or keep it around for yourself or
whatever.
I think a four-harness table loom would be just perfect. You can do simple
things on it and it also can take a lifetime to go through all the
possibilities with it.
