I once had handspun wool yarns that smelled very strongly of mildew. I put them in the car window on a sunny day, and the smell vanished. I assume it was mostly the sunlight that did it, and not the heat. Does anyone know if this would work with the odor of smoke? Also, I'm not sure if that would work on a cold winter day.
