Hi Sarah, Tried this once and it bounced. I use Simple Green in the 2nd wash of raw fiber to get the ram and billy smell out of the fiber. I use about 1/4 cup of the green. You might try a glug or two in a wash for your garments and yarn to get the smoke smell out.
I'd sure put in for the insurance claim on all of your retail. Then wash what you can and sell it a discount. So sorry to hear of this, especially right now at the best selling time of the year.
