Julie in NJ where the cold finally crept into the state during the
night...although we hear it will be back in the 50's on Saturday.
Where did Winter go?
-----
*WINTER* is stuck here in Colorado!!!!
As are all of us ... fourth bitter cold, and snow storm later this
afternoon. We have had over 60 inches of snow since December 20th,
with another 12 inches or more expected in the next 48 hours.
Highs in the next four days: 10 degrees ... lows at -9 degrees (or lower).
The sheep and I are sick of this!!!! You van take this winter and shove it!
Shoving it here, shoving it there, until there's no place left to
shove any more snow. When it stays cold it doesn't melt, it just
piles up and up.
We are running out of hay and there's little left to buy ... what
there is is $7.50 - $10 per small bale (around 60 pound bale).
Fiber angle to this post: I've spent so much time digging and
shoveling, I've had no time for any fiber pursuits .... not my idea
of a good time at all!!!
End of vent.

(PS ... we have a ewe named Winter, as she was born on December 21,
many years ago ... she's stuck in the barn with the rest of the flock
behind 4 foot drifts that I haven't been able to dig out yet)
