While we in northern lower MI have had almost no snow this winter. A
nice little storm dumped 18" in early December, but there's been only 5"
since then--and normally by now we'd have about 3 feet on the ground.
Temps abnormally high, too. It's surprising how a) the lack of snow
reflecting light into the house and b) the lack of cold water really
puts a crimp in my fiber activities.
Still plugging away at the AVL, though--have 4 shafts cleaned up and
every tenth heddle marked in color. Haven't tried to get under the loom
to take lengthen the chains attached to the springs yet. A little
distracted as DH totalled our F250 truck on Monday.
