Small projects seem to be the best for commuting and high temperatures.
Are you interested in service knitting/crochet? I have a 45-minute
commute, and I knit mittens and hats all year. At the first sign of
cold weather, I send the whole shebang to a local homeless advocate
group. Last year I knitted scarves, too. I really don't like knitting
them, so I think I'll weave a few between other projects this year.
