Hello Ron - it's finally Summertime here! which means anything to do
with wool is not a pleasant pastime. However I have started some
oddball knitting which is mostly handspun oddments. I'm making a
fairly bright and cheerful baby blanket. Nothing fancy and intend to
give it to charity here via my Guild. I was "looking" for my pattern
for a EZ Surprise jacket but it has not surfaced so that will have to
wait until I'm next at the Guilds' library. I seem to recall a
Knitters magazine had a pattern but otherwise I will take out an EZ book.
Craft guilds kickstart again real soon, always there is a general
lull during Summertime because here in NZ we do extended public
holidays and because they often fall at odd times we extend them even
more! :-) Coming up this w/end in this part of the country is
Auckland Anniversary Day which is celebrated in a big sailing day and
a Regatta on the Waitemata Harbour & the following week we have
Waitangi Day. I propose to be away in Rotorua come Waitangi Day for a
short R&R holiday.
Cathy, really glad Summer is here
