I admit to the misspelling.  But in this case it is a style of still-life
featuring food and drink.

It is signfiicant, but is spelled wrong - I think. The word bodegones 
with an o instead of the e means a recycled image taken from another 
work. In other words Velasquez was re-using an old canvas or simply 
copying some filler material from some previous work of his or another 
painter.
