The other place is your local legion or heritage center, there are county
air buildings too. You may get a break on rent if you offered to do some
demos at events these groups host. . Many legions let you have space free I
you aren't making any money. The other thing to do is apply to your county
or region to see if there is funding available. Often they have money for
heratige/cultureal groups.  The other thing is to charge a membership fee.
Even $20 a year would go a long way to paying the bills.

For the meeting room space, Have you checked with:

1. Area public libraries
2. Area schools
3. Area 4-H programs
4. County extension officer
5. Any museums in the area

Check with the nursing homes or assisted living residences in your area.
Most have large meeting /activity rooms and in my area they welcome
community groups as long as they don't mind letting the residents wandering
in from time to time.
