As an update, we tried the old school building's art room, but while the
room was OK, the door to get into the building closest to the room and
parking is always kept locked, and isn't very close to the room so we
can't keep a watch out for people. Late arrivals have to go all the way
around the building to find a place to get in, which is a real pain.

So, another option we found was the local snowmobiler's club. One of
our members is a member of the club, so we can use it for free. It's
kept up in the winter :) and easy of access year round. I've been in
the building once, and there's plenty of space because they do pancake
breakfasts as fundraisers. We'll be trying it out in May, but I think
it's probably a go, provided our member who is a member of the club
doesn't mind having to open the building for us year round!

I don't think there's any active Grange Halls up here. At any rate,
we've been farmers here for nearly 10 years now, belong to the Farm
Bureau, and go to feed and supply stores, and I'd never heard of them
before. All other options we looked into were too costly or not
centrally located. So I'm really hoping the snowmobile club works out :)

Holly
with one (unexpected :) kid on the ground, several crocuses blooming,
maple sap flowing and boiling, and RAIN falling, it must be SPRING, no
fooling! We'll just forget the forecast of more snow today and tonight :)
