> Is there anything other than moth balls that deters mice?

Hello from England,

The junky overpriced Christmas gift cats started comeing sometime back. I
swear to God one had Big Cat poo for sale as a fancy(posh)said to be excellent
mouse deterant sp?. I did notice! The something for those who have
everything?? Can not document and wish I could. Thought it was a howl and (I
am trying to be funny). It was lion dung or something and said to really keep
mice at bay!

On a more serious note. In the last few yrs I have learned that mice are more
or less permently incontent sp? and dribble pee(wee)where ever they run. The
urine marked trails are then the paths they follow and more or less are mouse
roads in the dark (the way I understand it).
So perhaps big cat crap smells dangerous ;^)

One of the few family tricks I have been able to pass on to my 30something son
was grandma's mouse trap trick. She pulled most of the cotton off a
Q-tip(cotton bud) broke of the stick tiny-short, Lightly smeared the teased out
tip in peanut butter and securely put it in the mouse trap for bait. Great
bait esp for fiber(fibre) persons because it is the fiber mixed p-butter that
the mouse gets in his mouth and pulls that keeps him busy and finishes him
hopefully quickly around the back of the neck. Seems there was also something
about old mouse traps being better than new...smell or urine feature from last
throws of death....sorry but I am really getting into thissssssssss yuk

PS Son has them so bad, in a long empty new to him, Mt cabin(trailer house he
recently purchased) and he is just discovering how many plan to move in for a
winter rest. I do not believe he will ever be able to get rid of them. So I
watch this with interest. I told him to feed them and feed them well in one
place over time and then lay out a 'last supper'. Repete in a few months.

Ricia who will now go do something more constructive and less crude.
