Regarding BIR query, I believe we are not yet registered. Nobody will do
that for us except us. 
Also, the other requirements that I should like to do for Filex
Foundation is to register it in 
Quezon City Hall as a legitimate foundation registered with SEC. In our
certification of registration, there is something
That says we still need to register with the municipality to make or do
business transactions. 

SEC registration is just one part of our legitimate existence, for us to
be able to transact business with other institutions,
FILEX should be a registered  entity complete with municipal license,
BIR number, etc. 

I believe that the Board will have to act on this matter very soon. I
would be going home in the third week of  January 2009 so might be a
good timing to do this with the approval of the Board of Trustees.

That means too that we need to maintain one small office in the
Philippines.Somewhere in Quezon Blvd.or Cubao area, For now, our based
is located in our townhouse/condominium in Panay Avenue neighbor to
Capitol Medical Center and very close to ABS-CBN, St. Mary's College,
AMA HQ, Banks like Union Bank, PNB, BPI, etc. and the QC joints for the
sake of SEC registration. 

May we ask our good colleague Atty Meyer for his legal advice please.

albert as far as i know when you register an organization in the phils,
it automatically get registered in BIR, with TIN, but not so sure, we
may ask, to avoid any problem, this is one of the reason why there is
yearly audit, i think so.

            and who is not. Sending it to the treasurer by email on
excel
        format
            (emailed to all earlier) will save time on re typing the
names
        all over
            again. 
             
            The report I receive from the Treasurer is the same report
that
        goes to
            the membership committee. Having these information at hand I
        thought it
            would be proper to share the same information in summarised
form
        for all
            to know where we stand on the membership and insurance
drive.
        Should you
            think this type of progress reporting is unnecessary or
there is
        a
            better way to do it please feel free to suggest.
