Hardee har har. Eh, I don't think California has wild horses. More
homeless than anything else ... (I'm not thinking that).

Really? Around here? Go on, no way.
The procedure you have listed, is how I have been handling my
flatbed scans. It is tough on my hard drive, but my DAT
handles it just fine. I have a PIII 600 with 256mb of ram. It
handles 1200 dpi scans adequately, it is the 2700 dpi scans that
brings the machine to its knees.
I have photoshop 5 for Winders. I use it as little as possible. My
daily editing program is Picture Publisher. The ability to open
image files by thumbnail is necessary for me. I have 6 years worth
of scans on my hard drives, and file names do very little after a
year or three. PP also has a really superior way of handling
filters and so forth. I find the preview window very handy, I can
see how my image will come out BEFORE I activate the sharpening
tool. It is little things like that I enjoy. I keep both programs
handy though.

MAN !!! It got down to fifty degrees F last night. I had to turn
on the heater and I can't wear my tv watching shorts without a
blanket, this won't do.

That sounds really brutal. Does it snow up there in Canada?

Oh fine, blame me.
