Watch the hard drive for activity. It's likely that the process you are waiting for has caused PS to write undo information to the drive, and that will slow things down. It's *very* unlikely that a graphics card is going to cause noticeable delays in screen updates with a 2D program like PS. > How big a graphics card is needed for a 1024 x 768 screen resolution? 2MB I think, depending on how many colours you want. Again, RAM isn't an issue with 2D applications. Lots of RAM on a video card is only generally needed for 3D games where you need to store textures and Z buffers. Rob
